We Turn Data Into Action.
Schools aren’t short on data. They’re short on a system to act on it — quickly, consistently, and in real time. That’s the gap Next Gen Math was built to close.

How Next Gen Math Started
Erin Walker, CEO, began her career as an elementary school teacher in one of California’s lowest-performing districts, where the seeds of Next Gen Math were planted. At the time, lessons were labeled standards-aligned, but there was a real gap between what was being taught and the actual rigor of the state test and grade-level expectations. Teaching every page of the textbook cover to cover wasn’t working — not for students, not for anyone.
Erin joined her district’s curriculum and instruction team, where together they took a different approach: backward-mapping directly from the California Mathematics Framework’s grade-level expectations and the state assessment blueprint, so students consistently encountered the rigor and priority standards that mattered most — then diving deep into the data to respond and adjust. The result was measurable: real math gains, achieved not with more resources, but with more effective strategies and processes.
How It Grew
Meanwhile, educators everywhere were building their own materials from scratch — every school reinventing the same wheel, standard by standard. Next Gen Math started with a rigorous, unlimited question generator to solve that exact problem, then grew tool by tool as teachers and administrators asked for what they needed next: procedural fluency support, instructional supports, pre-built assessments, PLCs, real-time data teachers could act on immediately, and Tier 2 / Tier 3 intervention activities based on real student results. Every tool supports print and digital, because instruction happens both ways — and every tool was built for teachers to lead, never for a “set it and forget it,” computer-to-student model.
Where We Are Now
Today, that same system extends to school and district leaders — shaped directly by the partner schools and districts using Next Gen Math. The result is a complete system with full transparency, from grade-level expectations all the way down to daily classroom instruction. Behind it, a dedicated content team continuously builds standards-mapped, high-rigor questions and videos, while our development team keeps improving functionality — so K-12 teams get better math results without more effort.
Our Team
Next Gen Math is a talented, dedicated team including many former educators. About half of us are based in California, while the rest work remotely from other states or countries. What we have in common: every person on this team is here because they care about K-12 math learning, not just the software behind it.
Our Approach
We believe students reach their highest level of achievement when educators can respond to standards-focused data with the right resources — immediately, not weeks later.
That belief is built into everything we make: Assess → Analyze → Act → Monitor → Adjust, in real time. Not another dashboard. A system educators can actually use on a Tuesday afternoon between classes.
At Next Gen Math, LLC, we believe that our commitment to integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic forms the foundation of everything we do. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where:
