Next Gen Math addresses the age-old challenge: “Got data… now what?” While many platforms offer data, we offer the response—in real time. Our model is simple yet powerful: real-time data, real-time intervention.This immediate instructional feedback loop is what sets us apart from other solutions.

One of the key features that distinguishes Next Gen Math is our multiple-question-stem design, which ensures each standard is thoroughly represented—not generalized. Unlike other platforms that may offer a single question stem to represent several standards, Next Gen Math provides multiple stems per standard to reflect the full range and rigor of each standard. These stems are scaffolded throughout the school year, allowing students to build confidence and skill over time—always with the goal of achieving grade-level mastery.

Furthermore, every student receives access to grade-level content, regardless of their current performance level. Next Gen Math is a complete assessment system — Assess, Analyze, Act, Monitor, Adjust — not just another assessment or practice tool. Most supplemental programs stop at Assess and Analyze; Next Gen Math is built to empower educators to identify learning gaps and act on them quickly, giving schools and districts the visibility, tools, and insights they need to help every student reach or exceed proficiency.

Teacher-Centered
Some supplemental programs put students in front of gamified, digital software and let the technology decide what happens next — teachers mostly review the data. Next Gen Math keeps teachers at the center. Educators can review, adjust, and adapt every intervention or acceleration activity based on student data, for an individual, a group, or a whole class — optimized for print or digital. Teachers control accommodations, layout, questions, and instructional supports to fit their own instructional strategy.

Level of Rigor
Unlike platforms that use a single question stem to represent several standards, Next Gen Math provides multiple, rigorous question stems per standard: over 2,900 conceptual stems generating endless variations. We also include a wide range of question types, higher-Claim practice, and performance tasks, so students build readiness for high-stakes assessments during everyday math practice, not just in the weeks before testing.

Instructional Equity
Every student gets access to grade-level content, regardless of current performance level. Since all students are tested at grade level, this ensures every student has an equal opportunity to meet or exceed grade-level standards — with built-in supports and accommodations for IEPs and English Language Learners so no student is held back from meaningful math learning.

Moves the Needle

Yes — teachers can access content from any available grade (including K-8, 11, and AGA or IM high school pathways), which is especially useful when working with students below grade level who need remediation.

Working across grade levels is easy to do: the Standards Builder includes the ability to add questions from prerequisite lower grade level standards building up to a particular target standard to any assignment. This makes it easy to pinpoint exactly where a student’s mastery ends and their learning gap begins, across multiple grade levels. For acceleration, educators can click to add next-level questions from higher grade levels for those students ready to move on.

Our free pilot program for schools or districts starts at 45 days, but we can personalize the pilot duration depending on your scope and the needs of your educators. Our goal is to give you enough time to use NextGenMath.com with students for a specific math unit or goal, and be able to measure the ‘before and after’ and obtain real data showing the accelerated learning taking place when teacher use Next Gen Math with their student to adapt instruction based on student results.

Before a pilot launch, we meet with you to agree on your desired outcomes and will also contact your rostering team to get set up (through Clever, Classlink, etc.). On pilot launch day, we provide professional development (over Zoom or possibly in person) to your educators and/or adminstrators, so they are set up for success and excited about the new tools available for math learning.

A few weeks after launch, we provide a second training, focused on using the student data that educators have generated to respond to any unfinished learning, and then see if it was effective with a valid retake. Near the end of the pilot, we’ll review the student results with you so you can measure what kind of impact the pilot had on the unit or standards taught.

We offer a free pilot program for schools and districts, as NextGenMath.com is most powerful when you can access your rostered students, sections, etc. and when you integrate it to your gradebook. We may be able to provide you with a sandbox login if you’d like to explore on your own as an educator or adminstrator, before deciding if it’s worth organizing a pilot for your site(s). Live professional development (zoom or in person), helpdesk run by real people (not AI) with deep knowledge of the platform, bug reporting, a teacher learning portal, feature requests, question stem requests, online learning courses. The majority of our continuous platform improvements come from the teachers and administrators using NextGenMath.com.

We charge annual (school year) per student subscription fees, with no limits on teacher/admin users and no cap on usage. For organizations that take advantage of the free pilot, fees are prorated to the remainder of the school year. Next Gen Math is deeply aligned to standards — more deeply than most supplemental programs. Every question, assessment, and practice item is labeled by claim, domain, target, standard, and question stem, so teachers can pinpoint exactly what students need. California schools can also organize our item bank by Big Ideas found in the latest state math framework. This granularity lets educators move beyond “aligned to a standard” to instruction that’s precisely targeted, every time.

Next Gen Math is built to work alongside any core curriculum. Core programs include some assessment, and NGM extends it to give teachers everything they need to identify learning gaps early and then quickly respond with targeted next steps. The program also helps teachers and intervention teams address unfinished learning, with access to any grade level and tools to identify where learning gaps start and how to respond.
